Omnie Solutions Pays Tribute to Moms on Mother’s Day

A mothers’ importance cannot possibly be
honored in one day alone but every year on Mother’s Day everyone gives it their
best effort by taking time to present their mothers with gifts and spending
quality time with them.

At Omnie Solutions, we too recognize the
significance of motherhood and the vital role moms play in our day-to-day
lives.  We are proud of all the smart and
successful women who are employed with us and this year, we decided to honor
all of Omnie Solutions’ amazing moms with a fun Mother’s Day bash.

Our festivities included all of the usual
celebratory components but this year we also endeavored to put a unique spin on
the celebration by putting together a meaningful conference where Omnie
Solutions moms were encouraged to share stories, sentiments and tips and tricks
of the mommy trade. 

The ladies were able to hang out
comfortably and discuss child-rearing topics like picky eaters, sibling
rivalries and the importance of not overindulging children, as tempting as it
may be!  It’s often said that raising
children is the most difficult job in the world and that kids don’t come with
an instruction manual.  Both of these
statements are true and the Omnie Solutions Mother’s Day discussion was our way
of offering our hard-working moms a measure of support amongst kindred
companions.

It wasn’t all so serious however.  Like any good party, our Mother’s Day
celebration was accompanied by a terrific assortment of food and drinks,
including delicious Vegetable Biryani and Ice Cream for dessert!

Omnie Solutions moms were also encouraged
to play fun games and take part in amusing brainteasers.  Everyone received lovely party favors in the
form of custom photo mugs featuring pictures of themselves and their children
and by the end of the day, Mrs. Nidhi Maheshwari was awarded the grand prize of
the day- a beautiful cosmetics gift pack.    
    

At Omnie Solutions, we acknowledge that a company
is only as good as the people that are behind it.  This is why it’s so important to recognize
and support our employees, not just on one day, but year round- much like we do
with our mothers.  Still, throwing a
party every now and then is good for the soul. J  Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing moms here

No Party is better than “Back to School Party”

The saying “company culture is the king” is true and the HR
team at Omnie Solutions strictly follows this rule to create an amazing work culture
for their team members. This time, the HR came up with the idea “Back to School
Days”, an event held on Saturday 2^nd, May 2015 to make the culture
more interesting and recreate the magic of school days. The event was
entertaining and full of fun. Everyone enjoyed a lot and participated whole
heartedly to make it a huge success. Omnie’s team is not only passionate and
creative about digital and technical things like web designing or mobile app
development but equally active and creative in extracurricular activities.

Here is how we celebrated and enjoyed the party. We asked the
team to dress up according to the school days theme. Just imagine ponytails,
socks and ties! Really sounds interesting but to see yourself, your colleagues
and team in such a get up - wearing ties, school trousers, tunics and socks is
more interesting and amazing. It is a feeling that cannot be described in
words.

This is just the beginning of the celebration, there were
more exciting things and events which took place. To enjoy the day to the fullest
and to re-create the magic of the School Days’ we scheduled a ‘Zero Period’ from 4:30- 5:30pm for all
so that they could enjoy this time to their liking- just as it was during our
School days. The team was free to do anything of their choice, like catching up
with their work buddies, enjoying a cup of tea in the Cafeteria, browsing the
latest fashions on the net, placing orders for clothes, shoes or accessories
online. In short, anything they would like to do.

To make the day more
entertaining and exciting we asked our team to bring childhood photographs. We
created a beautiful collage with all the cute faces and played a match – up
game with all. People were asked to match the photos with the staff members.
Again this was real exciting. 

The chain of amusing events continued. We held a joke session
where staff came up with humorous and hilarious jokes. Some members also
recited interesting facts and figures, Sanskrit shlokas and many such things.

In between all this fun activity, there were delicious and
mouth-watering snacks arranged for all the team members. To make the party more
real to school and childhood days, snacks included yummy Chocolates, Lollipops, Poppins, Gems, Candies, Donuts, Samosas and Cold Drinks.

Last but not the least, there was a Prize distribution wherein
our CEO Mr. Manish Maheshwary judged all the team members (wearing cute school
dresses) and chose the best dressed. The 1st prize of 1000 rupees cash was
awarded to Gayatri Nagpal and Kanchal khalkho won the 2nd prize of 500 rupees.

The whole idea of this activity to recreate the
fun and amusing culture in office by revisiting those beautiful memories of
school although for a short time was truly accomplished. I must say, going back
to school days was a wonderful experience for all. I would like to thank all
the team members who actively participated in this fun activity.

Google Crashes the Wireless Party with Project Fi

On April 22, 2015, Google officially
announced Project Fi, an alternate wireless service that further reinforces
Google’s foray into the wireless industry.

The tech giant’s plan to shake things up is
two-fold.  First, the new service has a
unique pay structure that offers consumers who are not data junkies the chance
to potentially save on their monthly bill. 
It starts with a basic twenty-dollar fee, which covers the cost of basic
functions, like domestic and limited international calls, texting, and Wi-Fi.  From there, consumers will be charged $10 for
every gigabyte they think they will use. 
At the end of the month, any unused data will be refunded. 

Google’s Project Fi is also shaking things
up with the company’s ambitious goal to automate Wi-Fi and cellular rotation as
necessary.  Currently, consumers can try
manually changing their Wi-Fi source when receiving a low signal, but they do
so blindly and without any guarantee of finding a better alternative.  Using new technology, Google is attempting to
save you the hassle by offering subscribers a wireless plan that will automatically
search and choose the best network options throughout your day- wherever you
may be. 

According to Nick Fox, the Vice President
of Communications Products at Google, “It’s important that wireless
connectivity and communication keep pace and be fast everywhere, easy-to-use
and accessible to everyone.”  A video
posted on Google’s blog reiterated the new technology and vision by affirming,
“Connection is a human right”.

Google has teamed up with Sprint and T-Mobile
to offer its new service and while Project Fi’s entry as a network has left
some industry veterans nervous, both Sprint and T-Mobile seem excited to
partner with the powerhouse.  A rep for
Sprint has officially released this statement: “We are proud to enable Google’s
entry into the wireless industry as a service provider.”

So far, Project Fi only works with the
Google Nexus 6 and is available by invite
only, which you can apply for on Google’s website. 

Will
Project Fi
be able to shake up the wireless industry? 
Only time will tell but it is safe to say that a company as formidable
as Google could introduce the next revolution in wireless services.
